Overview & First Impressions
On first look, the color is noticeably different in real life than it appears online — it leans more towards a deep wine-purple rather than a bright burgundy. It’s still a very beautiful shade, and the fabric catches the light in a way that gives the color subtle difference depending on the lighting.
I expected the fabric to be corduroy but it is more velvet like on the touch.
Details & Construction
The stitching on the inside of the skirt looks neat. It has a hidden zip closure which is reinforced at the bottom, along with an additional hook-and-eye fastening.
The belt loops are nice and practical detail which offers more styling versatility.
Fit & Sizing
The skirt runs true to size — my usual size 38 fits perfectly.
As a mini skirt, it is naturally short, though for my personal preference it could be just a few centimeters longer.
Measurements
- Waist: 76cm
- Length: 37.5cm
Composition
Shell: 100% viscose
Fabric & Weight
The thickness of the skirt is on the lighter side, but not so thin that it feels cheap or flimsy.
The fabric feels nice to the touch and, as mentioned earlier, catches the light beautifully.
One thing I noticed while trying it on, however, is that it does seem to attract dust.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this skirt has a beautiful color, a flattering fit, and is surprisingly nice quality for the price. While I personally wish it were a bit longer and the fabric attracts some dust and wrinkles a bit, it’s still a lovely piece — especially if you’re looking for a lightweight statement skirt for autumn.
Notes
This jacket is part of a matching set, which also includes a matching jacket and corduroy trousers.
